Time Away from Work Program

Through Together We Thrive, we are committed to supporting the whole person. Time away from work plays an important role in helping you rest, recharge, care for family members and navigate important life events. Options for time away from work include:

  • Vacation and Sick Time
  • Holidays
  • Paid Parental Leave
  • Paid Caregiver Leave
  • Bereavement Leave
  • Military Leave
  • Time Off for Jury Duty and Voting
  • Volunteer Day

For 2027, we're enhancing parental leave and caregiver leave to offer more flexibility and financial support when it matters most. Parental leave will increase to up to 12 weeks at 100% pay, and caregiver leave will increase to up to four weeks at 100% pay.

When considering time away, be sure to:

  • Take advantage of time away when you need it. There is no action required to enroll in the Time Away from Work Program. Take time to review the different types of leave and time away available so you understand the resources available when you need them. Learn more.
  • Consider your vacation time needs. If you anticipate needing additional vacation time, you may purchase additional days. You can only buy additional vacation days during Annual Enrollment each fall, so it’s important to plan ahead.
  • Plan ahead and speak with your manager when you need to take time away. As soon as you know you need to take time away, speak with your manager and ensure all business needs are covered while you are away. Depending on the type of leave, you may need to apply so be sure to speak with your manager and take the necessary steps.

Tuition Assistance

As you invest in yourself, Wolters Kluwer invests in you. We understand that continued education is important and may help you reach your professional goals, so the Tuition Assistance Plan provides financial assistance for undergraduate and selected graduate courses of study up to $5,250 per year.

Full-time employees are eligible for this program after six months of employment. There is no action required to enroll in this program.

All full-time employees are eligible for this benefit. Part-time employees who are regularly scheduled to work at least 20 hours per week become eligible after one year of service. There is no action required to enroll in this benefit. If you incur eligible adoption expenses, you can apply for reimbursement by following the process outlined here.
